Im streaming the game online and the Pelicans announcers just said Meyers turned down 4 for 60 SIXTY MILLION DOLLARS he turned down from the blazers he will be lucky to get half of that now, and may be playing himself OUT of the NBA. We all need to take a moment to thank our lucky stars we are not stuck with that albatross of a contract
LMAO - 60M/4YRS "No thanks, I'm betting on me" - Myers i was loling in the past at him possibly turning down like 32M/4yrs thinking he thinks he could be a 12-15M p/y man, but wow....... will miss him even less.
seems too crazy to be true right? but I havent seen or heard any actual numbers on the deal he turned down other than it was "substantial" but these guys were talking about it all matter of fact-ly
15 per I cant get over that idiot turning down FIFTEEN MILLION DOLLARS PER YEAR.... like you gotta be shitting me
He wont play himself out of the league. Some one will take him for the floor spacing alone. We just want him to do more than that, but someone out there will be content with it.
Yikes, at least he will be in the Guinness record books as the first player to ever go through a slump.
I'm hoping this isn't true, I'm waiting to see it in print before I say too much on the subject. But personally, he's in no position to make any salary demands or hold out for anything. His play as of late is just barely keeping him in an NBA uniform as it is.
I don't know where the Pelicans got that $60m number from. I have heard nothing, and read nothing that has even gotten close to listing what we offered.
Never heard that figure anywhere, but the Pelicans announcers have it? Anyway, Meyers has a long way to go before he can be a star. I don't think he quite has the it factor that it takes to be a star in the nba. He can be a good backup....right now he's shaky as a starter because of his confidence swings. I would not bet on Meyers if it involved more than 6-7 mil.
