    Kawhi Leonard doesn’t need to become more than what he already is.

    Another six or seven years of dropping 20-plus points a night, raining down 3-pointers at a 40 percent clip and putting the fear of God into every man he guards would earn him an induction speech – which would surely be enthralling – at the Naismith Hall of Fame.

    It would also earn him some scorn, deserved or otherwise.


    Leonard soared to new heights during his fifth season. He averaged a team-high 21.2 points on 50.6 percent shooting; his threat level around the arc went from DEFCON 5 to 2; he was an All-Star and an All-NBA selection and the Defensive Player of the Year (again).
