Caught this way back in the late 80s/early 90s. Pretty boring at the time but it kind of resonated over time. Lots of pretty famous songs, like that Susan boyle lady. Check this out. My brother got the British version of the london concert, really fucking cool. brought me back. http://www.amazon.com/Miserables-25th-Anniversary-Concert-Blu-ray/dp/B004I2K4E8/ref=ed_oe_blu
Les Miserables was a novel by Victor Hugo about hateful right-wing law enforcement chasing a nice guy all his life over something the Christians would say to forgive and forget. It was an anti-police story, similar to Charles Dickens novels and the 1960s Batman TV show starring Adam West. It was cast during the history when industrialism replaced the effete upper class and when government-funded nonprivate police forces were created to enforce this. Nowadays, Republicans get votes by claiming to represent such anti-government sentiment. Then they legislate new imprisonment laws which create even more anti-government sentiment among the lower class. The purpose of the circular process is to get them more votes.
