The dream of 2008 is dead and buried. Here begins the long, long road back. I'll be looking forward to getting tickets dirt cheap again.

    What dream?

The here & now tells us to keep the talent we have and work to improve the talent base. We decrease that base by letting Batum walk. If he doesn't want to be here then trade him.

I'm fine with letting Batum walk.

but...trade LaMarcus for what? Reasonable contract, early prime of his career, not going to dump him for a non-all star player that's younger than him. you have to have a plan. hoping to draft early in the lottery isn't a plan. its what organizations with no plan or direction do.

You go ballistic when Blazers play bad with LA and Batum . .. what will your posts be like with a Blazer roster without LA and Batum?

No rush to trade LaMarcus, but I'd let Batum walk assuming they can't work out a sign and trade with Minny.

We're in dire need of assets, letting a 23 year-old starter walk is asinine.

we have plenty of assets. 5 rookies. bunch of 2nd and 3rd year players on cheap contracts. cap space. dont' really need to take back bad contracts or overpay Batum when he doesn't want to be here.

So is paying a role-player 11.5 million a year. If they pay him that much money odds are he becomes the next Rashard Lewis or Andrei Kirilenko.

Until MN make the roster moves to clear up that offer, call their bluff.

My posts will be what they were in 2006 on BBB... this team sucks, but they play hard and are fun to watch.
