Ok so I'm a fan of VC from TO and have followed him throughout his career, I have come to this forum many times before for any updates and such. What I find funny is the amount of Nets fans who believe that it is good that VC stays with the Nets during this rebuilding session, like c'mon now let's call it like it is...the Nets will be a terrible team this year and for a few more I believe. Rebuilding is something a player like Oliver Miller should have to adjust to, not a player of VC's calibur right? Im not trying to knock the Nets because I have rooted for them for the longest time and even weathered the storm of hate from the many peers at my university during the time when the Nets/Raptors series was happening. I stuck my neck out for u guys lol!

Sorry the this long ass rant but I believe that VC's time remaining in Jersey is all in vain! The team will lose a lot of games this year and with him being 31 now, you don't want to play the rest of your days in a dump.

PS...Just move the team to the Rock, the Izod arena is just plain sad. It pisses me off that the Raps have a great crowd when we have pure whispers in the arena:dunno:

Welcome to s2! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Having Vince around gives us a veteran presence we'd otherwise be lacking. Also, his trade value is pretty damn low right now, and many of us believe it will be higher at the trade deadline. Why not get more, later?

Yeah I agree it is good for the team but I feel that it really isn't all that crucial for these guys. Let Najera be that vet leader for them, I think Im just thinking more so as a fan of VC and not about the team. I hope that he's gone by then, I just wanna see him get that ring and then go to the ACC and take a shit on the centre court logo, a la Terrell Owens lol. I started watching ball because of this guy really, he made it fun to watch and made a name for the city internationally. I look at the whole situation like a job because that is exactly what it is, when ur pissed off with work and how its goin eventually ur prob gonna slack off and have the type of attitude like f%#k this job. That's what he did, and he's def not the only one...he's just the first to own up to it:dunno:. But many ppl can't get over it, the positive def outweighs the negative for me.

    1) Welcome to S2. Sure you'll love it here.

    2) Remember to invite your buddies regardless of sport, team or player they root for.

    3) No need to mask your cursing... FUCK! See?

    4) You rooted for a player, others rooted for a team, and that causes people to have huge differences in views upon Vince/Toronto.

Welcome to S2 man. You're from Toronto? Visit the Hockey forums!

Right now, VC and arguably Devin Harris are the players who we know what to expect from. We hope he will bring veteran leadership to the young guys as well as produce on the court. VC got a very generous contract which i'm sure he's happy with, but there might be some discussions when the trade deadline comes up.

Same ol, same ol from Toronto. It was four years ago. I note that the old line about how he is soft and injury prone is no longer part of the Raptors' fans repetoire...the reason of course being that he has missed a total of 10 games in four years...and has to be in the top five in minutes played over those four years.

The Raptors at that time had a lousy GM (Rafael Araujo over Andre Igoudala) and a rookie coach (who still isn't very good).

Personally, I don't care what any Raptors fan thinks of VC. I will wait to see what he does this season, because that is all that matters and unless you are a soothsayer and fortune teller, what you say is irrelevant and immaterial.

    Carry on.

PS One final note...whenever UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, I see the line "Let's Be Honest", my antenna go up. The author invariably is trying to establish his view as the only valid one, the one true view that we should all share because it is of course HONEST. In political campaigns this fall, it is usually preceeded by the phrase, "My friends..."

being a dedicated fan of VC, although I know his chances of winning a ring with this team is limited, I have had build an attachement towards the NETS as a whole.

honestly, I dont want Vince to leave, I want Lebron to fill in at SF and the team would be damn dope!

    devin, Vince, LBJ, Yi, brook.

So basically your concern is more about VC success than the Nets?

Okay that is fair but "Let'sBe Honest" Since Vince has joined the Nets they have only made it to the second round. They have won a combine games of three games while in the second round. The year after winning 40 plus games the nets were the sixth seed. Sure they defeated the Raptors a young team but they were on the down fall.

Vince opted out and had no problem signing that contract the Nets offer him.

    My point???

Vince signed the contract so he should have no problem with adjusting to whats transpiring with this team. What you are saying because of who he is he deserves better than being on this Nets team? Deserve is a word you usually hear from people who don't want to work to get what they want.
