I would much rather have the Jazz in the first round than Phoenix. So would San Antonio, so they are in tank mode, but at the same time they want hc against the Jazz because that will determine the series. I still can't believe there are 2 injury riddled teams ahead of SAN, PHO, UTAH, and Dallas. It's about time.
Here's to hoping Denver doesn't pull a chokejob. Getting the top seed would be a huge confidence booster for the younger players on this team, and might solidify Kobe as the MVP.

The Rockets have to beat the Jazz tomorrow to make sure we get HCA against them. It's a good thing the Sacramento game is the night before we play the Clippers. If the Lakers lose, the Rockets will beat the Clippers. If not, they will rest up for the playoffs. If HOU, (SA), NO, and LAL tie, the Rockets get 1st seed with the tie breaker even though they don't lead their division.

Now that Seattle beat Dallas, I need the Hornets to beat the Mavs and the Nuggets to beat the Grizzlies. If that happens, I'd be very happy to see the Lakers with the #1 seed

God damnit, I want the Nuggets in round 1. I'm not worried about Dallas at all, we've got their number..however, they usually give us a tougher time than Denver.
I'll take Denver or Dallas. I don't think either one of them can beat us. We have more depth than either of them and a ton of length that can give either of them fits as well. Oh yea, we also have Kobe Bryant, the best player on the planet. He alone gives me confidence that we can beat anyone this year....the supporting cast helps too, but that's beyond the point.
Assuming the standings are the way they are now, we play New Orleans in the second round right? (assuming we both advance). We are the 1st seed and they are the 2nd seed
We wouldn't play New Orleans til the WCF if they finish with the 2nd seed and we get the first. We'll be on opposite ends of the bracket. The bracket looks like this 1 v 8 4 v 5 3 v 6 2 v 7 With us at the top seed and them in the second, we can't see them til the Western Conference finals.
