Taking into account height, there would not be many better rebounders in the league. He has been on a tear in late January/early February. 13 against the Lakers, 17 against the Warriors, 15 against the Kings and now 21 against the 'Cats.

    A beast.

"It was cool. My teammates were letting me know and I had to be my best to do it. Now, I have to try harder and do my best to achieve at least 22 the next time."

First Sonic to grab 20 rebounds in a game since Kemp in December '95.

Evans is rebounding like he did in college. I still think pound for pound that Fortson is the best rebounder in the league but I don't think that there is anyone on this roster (Ridnour included) who has improved as much as Reggie.

The more guys we have step up the better we will be this season. The con side to that is that these players asking price this summer will also go up. Interesting scenario but no one can complain b/c it's working right now.

Nice to have a player(s) with that kind of mentality! He doesn't care how many points he scores, because he knows that his job is to collect every rebound! I admire that!
    Keep it coming Reggie!

Yeah he's been rebounding like a madman lately - he's gotta be averaging 15 rpg the last 10 or so.

I heard Ehlo say something bout his wingspan last night which suprised me, I always thought he had stumpy arms - maybe his build decieved me but he said he had the reach of a 7 footer.

Regardless, it was great to see him get demoralzing offensive rebounds against Sac, particularly Miller, now if he could work on either finishing or kicking it back out right away.

Fortson may be a better rebounder in certain areas but dont think theirs an argument for him being a better rebounder.

I gave Reggie Evans crap last year, I didn't think he deserved to be in the league with the skills he has. Well, I stand corrected. Reggie is definitely the NBA's version of a blue collar worker... doesn't play for the glamour or endorsements, he just gets on the floor every night and busts his butt to put the team in a position to win. All hail Reggie Evans.

Reggie Evans is to rebounding what God Shammgod was to ball handling. Both were great at what they did, but neither one were really good basketball players.

I still don't like Reggie, but there is no denying that he is doing a yeoman's job on the glass. I hope that he continues his stellar play on the backboard, but basketball is much more than grabbing and holding to get rebounds.

I didn't see any threads about giving Reggie Evans a contract extension prior to this year. Everyone is appreciating what Evans brings to the table b/c we are winning. If we weren't winning we'd all want his minutes cut. He is definitely contributing to our success but to ask me how someone doesn't like Reggie Evans is like asking me how someone doesn't like offensive linemen in football.

Just b/c you do a good job of being physical and putting your teammates in a position to score doesn't mean that you should win the award for most popular player. That normally goes to the players that actually put points on the board. Remember, if Reggie Evans didn't do the little things, he wouldn't be in the league~or probably playing professional basketball anywhere.

Actually you have to leave me out of this one Shiek. He has been my favorite sonic since we first signed him. I was in favor of starting him his first year here and have been a big supporter ever since. I have been in favor of a contract extention, and it looks like I was right. Now he is going to be expensive.

You couldn't know this because I was at Sonicscentral.com until recently.

Yeah I as well was at SonicsCentral where I suppose Reggie received quite a bit of praise for being a nice role player. And I dont think I ever heard anyone over there wanting his minutes cut...Reggie does his job and does it well....Its obvious you like guys that can score Shiek (Flip) but sometimes other things in the game are more important...especially a team like us that desperately needs what Evans brings us.
