Ok, expectation? " <font color=""RoyalBlue""><font size=""1"">In the case of uncertainty, expectation is what is considered the most likely to happen. An expectation, which is a belief that is centred on the future, may or may not be realistic. A less advantageous result gives rise to the emotion of disappointment. If something happens that is not at all expected it is a surprise. An expectation about the behavior or performance of another person, expressed to that person, may have the nature of a strong request, or an order.</font></font> " So what? Well, let's talk about your club, and how expectation relates to you. I am a proud Blackburn fan, others are proud Fulham fans, and Man City fans, and further down the respective 'pecking order' Southampton fans, Scunthorpe fans and Wycombe fans. The list goes on. Each club has it's own set of dedicated fans whom would have different expectations of success upon them, a club like Manchester United's, would, typically be very high and a club like Chelsea's, extremely. Knowing that, and comparing the expection to acheive onto your own club (that isn't either of the above), does that not derive far more personal satisfaction to go on and win trophy? I can imagine by now you're probably thinking what the fuck is this guy talking about but I think it's an interesting subject. I can not talk from the stand point of any other club fan other than a Rovers one, but I can imagine that if I was a United fan, winning would just be customary, and too a degree mundane. I think that expectation would eventually turn to bitterness the moment you don't win something also. Discuss.
Celtics Major Expections would probably be Win the league finish a decent place in the Champions League. Win a domestic cup.
well i am a die-hard chelsea treu blue, but i wanna talk about my home town team sunderland. their expectations would be to clinch promaton this season again, and next season stay up, with a suitable amount of cash, and some decent players that want to stay in the prem, to help buildd a sqaud dominate the prem.
Meh, Here lies the Diamond Dust. He died of having to put up with people who can't read a thread and comment upon the actual topic at hand. Seriously guys, I'm talking about the satisfaction derived from supporting a club that is NOT expected to acheive, acheiving, being greater than suporting one that IS expected to acheive, achieving. What the fuck.
