Re: Let's talk offseason I guarantee that Jarrett is going to be the best Wide Receiver out of this year's class. Calvin Johnson has down games a lot of the time that i've seen, even against so-so defenses. Jarrett is amazing. doesn't have the blazing speed but gol 'darnit he has hands and that's exactly what we need. He should be there when we pick.Leonard Davis would solidify our o-line.Nate Clements would allow us to trade smoot and develop ced as a nickel. Perfect scenario.Marcus Johnson needs to play guard. Marcus has the size to play guard... good idea. Guard is also the easiest o-line position.Get a stadium deal done. #1 priority IMO. I don't give a crap who is on our team if we're in LA.Get Erasmus and Greenway healthy. It will be very nice having them back next year for sure, especially erasmus. I could see us signing another end just because Udeze is NOT panning out whatsoever.Next year is the year for Tarvaris IMO. It would be nice to let him develop for a few more years but it looks like we're going to have to stick him in there and see how he does. I really don't want Schaub.. we would have to give up two draft picks meaning no Jarrett.I would love to see a move like trading Smoot and udeze/troy for another draft pick and a player. a first and a decent o-lineman maybe. At this point we need to get as many draft picks as we can just because I think Brad Childress is a good guy when it comes to the draft. We definitely need a new Offensive coordinator. One who can call the plays in place of Brad. Maybe someone like a college OC that's had a lot of success that can come to the NFL and call the shots (norm chow type guy).I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a couple more new faces at WR as well. Drew Bennett, Marcus Robinson, Rookie player, Troy, and Bethel sounds like a good corps to me.If we could make some of those moves I think we could be a sleeper to win the super bowl next year. It all hinges on playcalling, o-line, and Tarvaris of course but I think we could have a shot at winning the north at the very least.

Calvin Johnson is light-years ahead of any other WR 'prospect' in this years draft.

With games against the Lions and Packers coming up, I honestly don't see that happening. Especially with a realy quarterback in there. Jarrett or Ginn. Who gives a shit. Give me a guy who can catch the damn ball NOT named Marcus Robinson. He can be our #2.
Re: Let's talk offseason I doubt you'll do all of those moves. That seems like a lot of moves for one off-season.

That seems like a lot of moves for one off-season.</div>Look at our last two years. We are supposed to have almost 40 mil in cap space with the cap going up another 10 mil. I could see us making most of those moves if we're smart. Plus a bunch of those moves have nothing to do with FA/draft. We need a stadium deal done (could happen), We need a new OC, we need to start Tarvaris, we need to switch up Marcus Johnson's position. All could be done. Add a few free agent signings in there and a draft pick and that's a regular offseason.
Re: Let's talk offseason We need to start Travaris at the end of this season from now on so he can gain some experince before next year beacuse I'm with you. I'd much rather Jackson if he pans out then Schuab. I hope hope hope we get DJ as well. He as worst will be a Marcus Robison type and that would make him our #1 or #2 guy.Smoot needs to go. Doesn't matter what we get for him he needs to be gone next year. I've got a idea for a OC. Glen Mason. Chances are he steps down or gets fired by the Gophers beacuse dumb fans don't think he's a coaching god which he is... not.Just kidding.I realy like Bethal Johnson and his ability on ST. I think he could turn out to be a nice deep threat and I want to give Troy one more TC with Childress. All sound like good moves that could happen. We need a better backup for TJax then Brooks too. Also heres a homer choice I'd like to see in the draft4th/5th round. Matt Speth. He can get a first down when it matters most and is a great blocker. Call me a homer(I am) but I think he's going to be real good.

Not sure how to interpret that. Not sure about mason. The fact that he couldn't really win with all of those RB's by committee that he had kind of turns me off. Maybe someone with more NFL experience and someone who can call the plays.Bethel should be kept UNLESS we get Ginn. Ginn is the kind of guy like Hester who can turn a game around with a punt or kick return.Disagree about bollinger. I think that with Brad (hopefully) retiring we could sign another veteran and keep Bollinger as our #2. He looked really good the other day. sadly he's probably out for the year.Spaeth is going to be a stud IMO. Only problem is we're stacked at TE.
Re: Let's talk offseason Start Bollinger.... Teach your offensive line to block.... and get him a reciever and Boom! Instant Contenders.
Re: Let's talk offseason I want Bollinger to start now but he's probably going to be out with that shoulder injury. When he's not getting sacked he's looked pretty good. At this point I think we need to make a choice on the Rookie as our future QB though. If that doesn't work out, we still have Brooks as a backup plan. Also apparently we're going to make a big run for Schaub in the offseason. IMO that would piss me off if we had three completely unproven QB's on the roster with no good draft picks because of the RFA tender. Drew Bennett, Dwayne Jarrett, and Marcus Robinson with Troy and Bethel coming in as burners on later downs is a good corps. Kind of a pipe dream (lol not a very good one) but that's step one to fixing our offensive ineptitude.
Re: Let's talk offseason When did he say he's unready?Mason was a joke. He sucks. I would jump off a bridge before hiring that guy.
Re: Let's talk offseason The other day in PC he said he wasnt sure if he was ready to start yet. Then later he said that Brad was the starter and gave the team the best chance to win or something stupid like that. That doesn't sound very confident to me.It could also be interpreted that he is speaking Brad Childress' mind through his comments. Not sure what to think there.

Either way, I think it's imperative they start Bollinger immediately. :whistling:
Re: Let's talk offseason Bollinger can play. It's not even his throwing shoulder.. he can play with 1 arm.
Re: Let's talk offseason If bollinger were 100% then I would say put him in. The fact is that he probably isn't.. At this point it's Tarvaris or Brad. You can't put Brad back in... he's done. That leaves us with the rookie. Will Childress have the balls to do it? I don't know. The fact that he had Tarvaris dress Sunday just so he didn't have to put Brad back in showed me something..
Re: Let's talk offseason The mst impressive WR prospects in games I have watched:1. Sidney Rice2. Calvin Johnson3. Dwayne Jarrett4. Rhema McKnight5. Mario Manningham (too young)6. Harry Douglas7. Ted Ginn Jr.8. Mario Urrutia9. Jeff Samardzija10. No one else I've watched has stood out.Like I said, that's only in games I've personally watched. Not their highlights, and not what scouts have told me. Obviously I take both the highlights and what scouts tell me into account when I do rankings though, that's just from what I've seen in game-time.

NFL players are used to playing at 80%, or even less.....Bollinger would be fine.
