Oct 12 - Orlando Magic forward Rashard Lewis will miss tonight's exhibition game against the Miami Heat after spraining his right ankle Wednesday night against the Charlotte Bobcats.

While his teammates practiced Thursday, Lewis spent the day getting treatment on his swollen ankle. He said he expects to play in at least one of the three games the Magic have scheduled next week in China.

"This is just a minor setback, that's all," Lewis said after walking out of the trainer's room at the RDV Sportsplex Thursday. "It could have been a lot worse. It's frustrating right now, but I'll be back soon. I'll be fine." -- Orlando Sentinel

"I'm sure, with Grant, the whole time he was here it was frustrating for everybody," Lewis said. "I'm not saying anything bad about Grant because he's one of my idols, but I don't want to be in the same situation he was in. This is a minor ankle sprain. The real deal (regular season) doesn't start until Oct. 31, and I'm sure I'll be ready to roll by then." -- Florida Today

Just rest him until the season or the last preseason game. There's no point risking anything, especially after what happened in the last huge contract we gave in Grant Hill.
