    Just watched the 1925 silent film The Wizard of Oz on TCM the other night.

    Most of the same characters but mere trickery replaces fantasy in this earlier version. Highly entertaining with a look at the racial attitudes of the time.

    Excellent special effects considering it's 1925. The lightning bolts are great!
