The Tampa Bay Lightning will be well represented at the National Hockey League's annual awards ceremony in June, with defenseman Kurtis Foster joining a trio of Lightning players who could walk away with hardware.

Foster was named Monday as a finalist for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy, awarded to the player "who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.''

Washington goaltender Jose Theodore and San Jose Sharks forward Jed Ortmeyer also were named as finalists for the award. The winner will be announced at the NHL awards show in Las Vegas on June 23.

Foster joins teammate Marty St. Louis, who is up for the Lady Byng Trophy, and Steven Stamkos, who will receive the Rocket Richard Trophy after tying Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby for the league goal-scoring title with 51 this season.

After being out of the league for nearly a year recovering from a severely broken left leg, Foster set career highs in games played (71), assists (34) and points (42).
