“I don’t like what he’s saying about how he had to come back because Hip-Hop’s dead and we need him. It’s not your house anymore, and I’m better than you," Lil' Wayne told the magazine.

When asked to explain, Lil Wayne explained that he didn't like the concept that Jay-Z's comeback album was built upon the notion that Hip-Hop is dead.

“I think I speak for everybody when I say it’s not dead as long as I’m still dropping albums,” Lil' Wayne told DJ Absolut.</div>

Wow he's full of himself and he isn't even the "sh*t".

Isn't Nas the one that said hip hop is dead?

Wayne is being stupid and I hope Jay-Z embarrasses him.

Wayne is trash and is just setting himself up for destruction. I was surprised he actually had fans in the first place... now he will, or at least should lose some.

A lot of ignorant people did agree with him, because a lot of people didn't like Kingdom Come, even though I did.

But why would you be surprised he has fans, dudes been in the game 13 years. If he didn't have fans he'd be way gone by now.

uhoh Air Fresh against Wayne now. Didnt think I would see the day. As for Weezy, he seriously just needs to shut up and just keep dropping his shitty, non-game changing albums with his cash money boyfriends. You can't diss a legend like Jigga.

Because I, personally, think he sucks.

I think Skillz said it perfectly.

I heard Jeezy and T.I. have also taken offense to Nas' comments.

Nas said hip hop is dead, but Jay Z said he is "hip hops savior". When I don't think Kingdom Come is saving anything.

Obviously you do, but I could have sworn you were wearing a sig that said he was the best rapper alive a couple weeks ago. Am I imagining things?

If Wayne was from NYC, people wouldn't hate on him half as much as they do. Example: Kay SLay says Wayne has no right to go at Jay Z, yet the clown doesn't say anything when Jim Jones and company make diss records to Jay Z, and Wayne is way better than Jim Jones. Thats the type of stuff I don't like.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Wikipedia:</div><div class="quote_post">Kingdom Come is a 2006 album from American rap artist Jay-Z released on November 21. The title comes from the DC Comics limited series of the same name, where Superman returns from self-exile to an apocalyptic and chaotic world.</div>

Which would explain some of Wayne's and others comments.

Heard bout T.I. and Jeezy. Jeezy even has a track called "Hip Hop Aint Dead"

Yup, by three votes... two 76er fans.

I'm actually not a big fan of Dipset and I live in Harlem, so where Wayne is from still doesn't change my opinion on him. Dipset/Cam'ron have had beef with Jay-Z for about a year now, so there shots at him are justified. Wayne just randomly said he was better than Jay-Z, who is regarded by many as one of the best MC's to touch a mic. Jay-Z has had such a profound impact on hip-hop that I don't know if anyone can ever take Lil' Wayne seriously.

Jay-Z has enough credibility and influence on the game to end Wayne's career, but I think he'll go in the more peaceful route.

Hey I'll take the votes, I got the W which is what matters. Who said anything about votes anyway? You salty? It was obvious I made a joke about the Little Weezy sig you were sporting a couple weeks ago.

Even if Jay Z responds it'll probably be subliminally, meanwhile Wayne just runs his mouth in interviews and does ZERO diss tracks.

How is the Dips dissing him different from Lil Wayne saying he was better than him. Dipset dissed the man, Wayne answered a question in a interview. Even though I don't think so myself, a lot of people say Wayne now> Jay now. They say Jay is like the Wizards Jordan and Wayne is like Kobe.

I understand what Wayne is saying because Jigga is disrespecting alot of artists by saying he needs to come back to save hip-hop(if he did actually say that). But seriously dude, Wayne is a nothing.

Hov probably wont, he didnt respond to Cam'ron so why would he against Wayne? And if Wayne was from New York, he still would be hated on.

    It's whatever...

Dipset was already feuding with Jay-Z, while Wayne just set himself up for trouble and attacked a legend, who already had respect for him.

I like old school Jay-Z more than Kingdom Come Jay-Z, but he's still in the upper echelon of artists with this emergence of terrible rappers now.
