http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/stor...ch-james-harden-keeps-attacking-drawing-fouls I know this will probably get commentary on hating iso ball, etc. Just thought it was awesome he's top 5 in the league in isolation possessions.
ISO isn't bad when you have other plays to compliment it. I think the majority of the complaints on Roy's ISO was that's all he really had going for him. If he wasn't playing ISO; Roy wasn't nearly as good as he was. Lillard does much more; being able to score from the perimeter and get other teammates involved. He isn't a "one trick pony"; which is why many fans actually want him to ISO more when we need him to.
It wasn't the fact that Roy was iso'd we objected to. He was great at it. It was the all iso all the time offense with no flexibility no imagination no ball movement and not taking advantage of other players' abilities. There is an appropriate time and place for the isos. That stat shows Lillard is really effective. Imagine how good he'll be if he adds a couple more moves to his arsenal. Now that Brandon is officially done, maybe we can get him to come over and teach Lillard a few things?
I would be so for BRoy teaching Damian how to ISO more effeciently. I mean other teams used old centers to teach new centers how to play the post.
I can hear him now BR:"The trick is to go REALLY hard left, then REALLy hard right." DL:"How will I know if i'm going hard enough?" BR:"Your knees will feel like they are ripping apart." ...On second thought, maybe BR is a bad influence.
LMAO! OMG this reminds me of those budget commercials.
