"Adidas started producing the Yi Jianlian when he signed his contract with the Bucks," NBA spokesman Matt Bourne said. "That wasn't until the end of August. Then you've got manufacturing and production timelines. Add to that the timing of the signing and that was the cause for delay."

Bourne said Yi jerseys should start showing up in stores in China by the end of November. And the league's online store will have the Yi jerseys soon.

"We had some jerseys available for the China Games," Bourne said of the recent set of games in China that involved the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic. "They sold out quickly." -- Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
