Former WBC featherweight/WBA super featherweight champion Jorge Linares (31-1. 19 KO’s) defeated Adrian Verdugo(18-5-1, 15 KO’s) by a 7th round TKO on Saturday night at the Centro de Convenciones, Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Linares, now a lightweight, blasted Verdugo with some hard shots causing the referee to step and halt the bout. For Linares, it was his fourth consecutive win since being stopped in the 1st round by Juan Carlos Salgado two years ago in October 2009.
