What do you guys think of this guy? I personally love him and would love to see him back with this team next year.. His shot needs a little work but he is very explsive towards the basket and rebounds well.. I wouldnt mind seeing him start at the SF spot.. Even though I think Deng will be there next year Johnson could be great off the bench.. He plays with a lot of energy and has a winning attitude..I personally hope hes back..
I think he is a hard worker and definately should make the team. He plays solid defense and seems to work with teammates well. I would say give him a shot.
The fact that there is even a thread started for Linton Johnson III by someone who isn't related to him (or sleeping w/ him) shows why the Bulls have been able to be as bad as they are and still lead the NBA in attendance.
i think lint johnson is a very good player with a lot of strength and play hard is like jerome williams for the heart he put in the game i think he had a lot of future

You are probably one of those people who never will come to games if the team isn't very good and then when their winning, you are in love with them. Thats what I call a fairweather fan. So get a life man.

He needs to work on his shot, but i remember when he took it to the hole he was effective on offense. He's a good defender, we should aim to keep him or Dupree, they're both solid backups at the 2 and 3.

So get a life man.</div> Actually, there is nothing wrong w/ being a dedicated fan. If you look at my profile you see that I'm actually a Sonic fan, and last I've checked they haven't made the playoffs in two consecutive years. Considering the fact that I take pride in knowing everyone (especially American born) who is in the league I was personally shocked when I saw the name Linton Johnson III and didn't know who he was. Then I learned he was a recent graduate of Tulane and it was even more surprising that I had never heard of him. Then I looked at his averages at Tulane and 13 points and 7 rebounds did not strike me as league material. Then I saw him get sent down to the developmental league and I figured that he was a marginal player. Then I saw him get called back up and put a mediocre numbers in extended minutes (for an undrafted rookie). Considering that Ronald Dupree actually was productive when given minutes I was surprised that Johnson was even called back up from the D-League. So for a thread to be started for a player who very well may never play in an NBA game again, I felt that it was a bit unusual. Also considering the fact that the Bulls are in dire needs of an upgrade in about every position other than the point guard it makes it even more surprising that die hard fans of the Bulls would spend time writing about a player who very well might not have a future in the league. So that post wasn't written to say that you weren't dedicated, it was written to say that if you are as dedicated as you say you are than you need to talk about players that you actually need.
Well there is a lot that aren't in the stat books. So for you to judge a player soley on their stats isn't right. Things like hustle, defense, and charisma do not show up in stats. No, I'm not saying Lindon Johnson is an outstanding player, but I am saying he is serviceable. Anyone who is going to make the team should be talked about. It's not like we don't know we need many upgrades, cause we do know that. However, Lindon is a part of the team, and could play some good minutes this year.

Linton is solid and we'll keep him, thank you. Chicago is tops in attendance because we love basketball and we're loyal to our teams, win or lose. I think it's a shame that teams with losing records have fair-weathered fans who only come out when they win. That's not what sports is about. Linton Johnson isn't a household name, and that's fine with me, because I know what he does for the team, and that's all that matters. I thought this site was for die hard Bulls fans.

If he's not, then the BUlls are headed in the wrong direction. If there's anything they need, it's players like Johnson. He's a player who doesn't even need to think to hustle, he just does it. And I love his rebounding.

Obviously Linton Johnson wasn't doing enough for the Bulls b/c he did get cut during the season (and the Bulls were in last place). I know that he got resigned but getting cut by one of the worst teams in the league does not look good on your resume. You're also right, this site is for die hard Bulls fan. That's why you will never see me here again.

Yeah the Bulls like to draft people from the minor league. Sure he's good but personally, I hated seeing minor league players getting more minutes than our starters. I'd rather see Jamal and Eddy play pathetically than watch Linton Johnson and Ronald Dupree working hard but not getting anywhere.
i disagree, when jamal and eddy dont work hard they shouldnt play, and id much rather see guys giving 100%, then eddy slacking off, we've seen a taste of what eddy curry can do, i think if he put in the effort that johnson and dupree do, he'll be a hell of a player.
