The BC Lions Football Club announced this morning that fullback Lyle Green and halfback Darren Toney have been released. Green departs Leos ranked 14th all-time on the games played list with 161 and the most by a Lions running back in club history. "Lyle was a versatile player who never gave less than his best," said Lions GM and head coach Wally Buono."He was a pleasure to coach and we thank him for his contributions on the field as well as his many community and charitable efforts." The Lions also announced that receiver Matt Chapdelaine will practice with the club during the 2010 season while playing his junior football with the Surrey Big Kahuna Rams.
