i forgot about this project, but i have everygame broken down and how well each WR did against each CB. i also broke down LIto and Sheldons career best with the top CBs of the league, Champ, Charlie, Chris, Antoine WInifield, Springs, and i think i had madison in there. youll be suprised how close they are. when i get home ill put it up. happy BA, i know u cant wait to see how right i am [IMG]

First mistake was naming Antowain "no big play" winfield as a top corner with no mention of Ty Law. And Springs has declined and was a nickle back by the end of last season. Even Ty Poole had a better season than Woodson, McCalister (I assume is Chris), Winfield, and Springs. I'm not saying he is more talanted than Woodson or even probably McAlister but I never been big on Winfield and Springs is just a cripple. Shit Bruschi had as many passes defended and picks as McAlister...maybe he should line up at corner too...kidding but McAlister is very overrated IMO and did not deserve to go to the probowl last season.

What about guys like Marco Coleman, Fred Thomas, Marcus Trufant, Terrence Newman all guys who had very solid statistical seasons. But that might hurt the argument...my bad.

Lito & Sheldon are nowhere as good as Troy & Bobby and probably never will be.

I even go out on a limb and say Will Poole & Reggie Howard (Miami's backup CB's) will do better than Lito & Sheldon.

Vincent & Taylor were arguably the 2nd best CB tandem in the league last year behind Madison & Surtain.

Yo BA, thats just not true. You are pulling all these comments out of your ASs. Troy and Bobby missed combinded 15 games last year due to injury. Therefore, someone must've played pretty decent for EAgles to get the homefield advantage. I think that Jim Johnson is more important to EAgles defensive success then any single player. We were fine without Trotter, Douglas and we'll survive with Troy and Bobby gone. And with Kearse providing the pressure, there is no telling how good we can be. Remember you cannot keep all your stars, you have to make smart decisions. And I think that letting Bobby and Troy go was one of them.

What a dumb arguement. Troy & Bobby were better, but it's out with the old and in with the new. Only time will tell if Lito & Sheldon can do the job as well or better. It's not like the Eagles Defense was stout last year....

What exactly am I pulling out? If Dawk can Spin like the Fox News Channel then turnabout is fair (& balanced) play

I have to agree both Taylor and Vincent were dissapointing last season and last season only but that was cus they were hurt. I really think Reggie Howard should start but why not give the kids a chance to keep the job through camp.

It's all going to be irrelevant this season as it's not Taylor or Vincent's jobs anymore. I still think it's always good to filter in the youth over age.

ive never like bobby taylor, the guy was a better than average cover guy, BUT HE COULD NOT TACKLE. i always called for al harris to play over BT, Al was at least extremely physical. i love troy, one of my fav. eagles of all time but ive stated for the past 2 seasons that he lost more than a step, and cant cover the speed WRs any more.

    lito and shel are better.

Well, sheldon brown has succeeded, i am impressed by his coverage skills, Lito still has some major wholes in his games. Eagles made smart move locking sheldon brown up, i admit that he is better than i expected. If Sheldon plays like this for 10 more years he will move into the Vincent/Taylor class if not better. Lito plays like he does and he will move into the terrell Buckley class of corners.
