Rush: Liverpool Must Keep Crouch

QUOTE

Liverpool goalscoring legend Ian Rush is convinced that Peter Crouch must stay at Anfield.

Peter Crouch's future at Liverpool is a regular subject of speculation, with manager Rafa Benitez's rotation policy restricting his playing time this season in particular.

But someone with an eye for a goal, and a goalscorer, is one of Liverpool's all-time scoring greats, Ian Rush - and he has no doubt whatsoever that the club must jang on to Crouch.

"He has done nothing wrong," said Rush.

"Every time he has played for Liverpool he has been superb.

"He's a fantastic different option for Liverpool and England and has never let Liverpool down.

"He [Benitez] can't ask Peter Crouch to do anything else. He has done exactly what he's been asked to do but he's got to be patient.

"He has become a better player simply by being at Liverpool Football Club."

This lad would be a seriousthreat if he was great at headers, he has all the advantage in the world, but torres and babel upfront would be more dangerous!

Thats the problem with Liverpool. Attack,Attack, Attack. So you have lots ofworld class strikers on the bench and thats it.Their defence is, Lets face it Abismal and their Midfield is only held into place by Stevie G.

Liverpool have only conceded 6 goals in the EPL this season. Less than any other team.
