No surprise there but I did hear recently that both Ventura (White sox) & Aurmas (Detroit) are expected to be retained. Not that would be a surprise.

...not surprised by this...between him and the GM they just fired, they've got a big mess in Seattle.

With DiPoto, I think we're on our way to cleaning it up. I don't know how much you guys read out-of-market, but some of the things that came out about Jack Z made him out to be borderline insane.

    and his response...

I already like what I'm hearing from DiPoto (getting back to speed and defense and not getting one-dimensional power righties that Jack hopes can overcome SafeCo). I like that he's looking at guys like Servais to come in, while keeping Edgar in a hitting coach role. I like that he said they're not stuck on "experience" in a manager. We'll see how it turns out, but it can't be worse than Jack Z and the cavalcade of managers (in various stages of being de-balled by JZ) that have cycled through here in the last 8 years.

I know two years doesn't make a managerial career - but Ventura doesn't seem to have the Midas touch to put it midly.
That Whitesox team has talent - and I might as well give my opinion on Girardi:
I'm just not thrilled with him. I would rather replace Girardi than Cashman at this point.

I just don't see how firing your 3rd base coach, bullpen coach, & outfield coach is going to solve anything. I mean seriously how did that work out for the Yankees after firing Long? They had one guy hit over 265 (Beltran 276)

If you thought Cano's numbers tanked this year....lol! Just wait when they get some hard added white guy that expects hustling out to first on grounders AND flyballs. Mendoza line anyone? Black lazy-assed 2B's Lives Matter....anyone want a T-shirt?

and to think, (IMO) had Cano of stuck around, retiring as a Yankee, he would of had a helluva career. Robby was/is blinded by the $$$, a damn shame....

I'm kind of shocked, Ausmus is still hanging around in Detroit. Brad is the epitome of a Mgr who has the classic "Deer in the Headlights" look on his face, the only constant to his game.....
