I have been working with the Portland Boltz and they had their first regular season game on Sat. It ended up being a really good game with both teams making some pretty good plays and it being decided after 2 OT's. I put together a top 10 from the game. I also have more videos from the team on my YouTube page and my website PortlandSportsBeat.com. I will have the full game up as well as soon as I can get it edited down. http://youtu.be/TlTndp4dEFk
What's the "spring football" league? What kind of caliber of players play in it and what does it pay them? I've been a big NCAAF fan for a minute and have started to become a bigger NFL fan for the past several years, but the only minor league I hear about is the CFL... I'd still be in the demographic, as a college football fan, that'd like to see some of the old Michigan St. or Ole Miss greats that never made the league play.
The league is called the PDFL. There are some former NFLer's like ex-Oregon Duck Justin Phinesse who played on that Utah team. It's attempting to be a feeder for the NFL for practice squad/undrafted guys to get some playing time before the NFL season starts but still be available for the NFL season. Lots of D1 guys playing on the teams. The pay is not great right now because it's a new league but if play continues the way that first game did it has some promise.
