Watched it last night. A few things Spoiler Loki is DB Cooper! Loved it. Though, when DB Cooper jumped, it was evening and stormy. They fucked up that detail, but it was funny to see. So, this time thing. The Avengers went back in time to get the infinity stones. In doing so, they messed up by allowing Loki to get the Tesseract, but they were supposed to do that, and Loki escaping and inadvertently causing a new timeline is his fault? Loved Loki contemplating whether he might be a robot! The Miss Minute video reminded me of the Jurassic Park Dino DNA video Time passes differently in the TVA, yet they have weeks? So, Loki cannot go back to his own timeline? But, if he doesn't Thanos never gets the tesseract and snaps half of everyone out of existence, causing the remaing avengers to go back in time to get the infinity stones to undo the snap and kill Thanos. Also, Loki then never dies and thus why does his record contain the things he never did including his death at the hands of Thanos? So, there is another Loki who is the Villian? We have only seen his shadow. The little boy/girl from the 1500's said he was the devil. Memphisto? We went through that with Wandavision and were disappointed. So, it's likely a multi verse variant of Loki, who Loki will send back in his place to complete his timeline to escape his death? I like that there is a drawer full of infinity stones and they use them as paper weights there When the snap happened did half the people in the TVA disappear too or were they protected? The 60s/70s vibe felt strange to me. The TVA is supposed to be this all powerful place that controls time and everything is recorded on paper (the everything you ever said bit was hilarious) and reel to reel? When Loki tried to escape did we see Agent Peggy Carter? All in all Loki looks good. Crazy it will only be 6 episodes long.
“And so Loki finds himself leaping from timeline to timeline, striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home…”
I think we're slowly moving away from movies being the main driving force in how we decide how good something is. The Mandalorian, Wanda Vision and now Loki are much better ways to tell stories. GoT's proved it (well, they also fucked it up), you need longer stories, spread out over a longer period of time.
Theories and rumors below! Spoiler There are rumors that the variant is Lady Loki. Maybe a branch off a multiverse now. Also that one of the Time Keepers is going to end up being Kang the Conquerer, which would make sense...someone
Spoiler We will se other Loki variants too. We have seen President Loki in the teasers. We will likely see Lady Loki, Kid Loki, Sorcerer Supreme Loki, and King Loki (played by Richard E Grant). Yes, Kang makes tons of sense. Time traveling is his thing after all
Spoiler So, the TVA allowed Thanos to slaughter half the universe and then time travel to the future to try it again because it was supposed to happen? Yet Loki merely escapes custody and that's too much? I wonder if all those infinity stones the TVA has means Thanos variants have been there?
How so? The Agent Coulson deal? Or are you saying the time traveling in Agents of Shield conflicts with the rules created in Loki?
Oh, they did? They could just say it takes place in a different timeline, that is not in fact the main MCU timeline. There is a multi-verse after all.
Looks like Disney isn't including them in the MCU Canon. Inhumans was not well recieved. Still, there is no reason to decanonize it, AOS, Agent Carter, and The Runaways from the MCU. They can and should just say they happen in different timelines if they don't want them in the main timeline.
AoS is good. Especially after you get past the beginning. Bill Paxton is in the first season and he was awesome.
