http://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article.jsp?co...728_234516_5008 Jamaal Magloire & P.J. Brown for Vince Carter and Jalen Rose. Okay, whoever came up with this idea and was smart enough to talk BS on the New Orleans sports radio just got a F- in grade 4 math. As ridiculous as the rumour itself sounds, the salaries don't even match - Jamaal Magloire and P.J. Brown's combined salary is only about $15 million for 04-05 season, Vince Carter and Jalen Rose's combined salary is in excess of $25 million for 04-05 season. Anyone want to step up and tell me that the $10 million difference is within the 15% trade restrictions for teams over the salary cap? Not only the salaries don't match, but needs don't match either. Why the heck would New Orleans want to give up size especially when they are going to the west? Who are they gonna start at the centre, Robert Traylor? And why the heck would the Raptors give up Carter and Rose for Magloire and P.J. Brown when we already have Chris Bosh, Donyell Marshall and Rafael Araujo? Geez.. it's a no wonder Toronto media gets bashed all the time by fans like us.
and while we're at it, why don't we give the Hornets the rest of our scoring? If our goal was to set the record for least points for a team in a season, than maybe we would be interested in that trade.
ya i agree...that is ridiculous....bdiddy and magloire now..that would be good even though it won't benefit the hornets ....plus i am not sure about their salaries
Why would a team that has stated it wants to run an uptempo offense, get rid of two guys that run the floor and can finish on the break for a front court player who is old (and showed it last year) in PJ Brown, and Jamal Magloire (who is agreat player) but definitely would need to improve his conditioning. Who would run the break? Alvin's knees are shot, and Roger Mason Jr and Palacio are to inconsistent. Skip would, but that's it.
