didnt even notice till i got the following pm from him:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">i have been suspended for 7 days, the gestapo is back. its a police state around here, this is so wrong.</div>

lol...what'd he do? i mean...aside from posting dumb trade ideas, and being annoyingly arrogant, what did he do that deserved a suspension?

Any member who violates the guidelines is going to get a suspension. He thinks it's unfair for him to be punished for ruining a thread, because he couldn't argue his trade and had to resort to insults. He received several complaints for his posting so action was taken.

Then instead of being mature and accepting responsibility he insults the staff by making a reference to the gestapo.

What I find annoying about it, is not just owning up to doing something wrong. Then compounding the situation and then crying about being treated unfairly. He's a good poster and I can appreciate him taking unpopular views about Vince Carter. I probably share a lot of the same views, but I try to support them by offering facts and examples, and not resorting to insulting people for having a different opinion.

yeah I don't mind his opinion of Vince Carter, but what really bothered me was that he couldn't back up his statements, instead resorting to insulting my (percieved lack of) education for instance. It seemed like he liked making threads just so he could get a reaction out of Vince supporters and start arguments with them.

what i dont get is that to him, it seems anyone who likes vince doesnt have any kind of educated opinion when it comes to ball. we are all just "vince boot lickers" and such. sure i like vince...but i dont think he's god or even a top 5 player in the L, like he suggests.

either way...maybe this suspension will put him in check [IMG] [IMG]

same...he's my favourite player but by no means am I diluted into thinking that he is a top 5 player...top 10-15 is more realistic. I spend a lot of time defending Vince but at the same time I have criticised him too if the criticism is fair. All I ask from people is to justify their arguments and back them up with facts, which is really not too much to ask.
