One thing lost in the news that Drew Mormino was released by the Dolphins, is that Jake Long didn't have to make a decision on whether he should buy his college number....its now safe to get your jerseys, Long will wear 77 in Miami....
That's good, as he is defiantely our franchise left tackle for us. Giving him his number from the beginning of his time there, and naming him the starter from the beginning is what I am expecting. Jake Long has the ability to really anchor our offense for a long time, especially since he is strongest in the running game, and we have to rely on our running game alot right now. He is a good pass blocker, but his pass blocking isn't on the same level as the run blocking at this time, but I'm sure it will be. I liked this pick, and I think it was a great move for us.
