The two NBA China games, between Houston Rockets and the Sacramento Kings
thats pretty impressive. the longest line i was ever in was 5 hrs for Pink Floyd tickets.
Well it's not everyday they get an NBA game played in their country. But now that the NBA has given them this opportunity, they had to jump on it. And they did, literally. 40 Hours, on a line is pretty insane. David Stern should think more about having NBA teams play overseas, but the jetlag would really be a concern. Nonetheless, it would really be a good thing in terms of marketing that is.
I'm glad that a lot of People in China lined up to see the Kings and Rockets.I Think the NBA Market overseas is a great one,as it does make a profit from what i've seen and heard.
Nonetheless, I bet 90% of the people waited 40 hours to see the Rockets more than the Kings. I think there would still be lineups that long even if it was Rockets vs Hawks. Don't worry guys, I'm just kidding. The Kings probably have a fair amount of fans in China, but even you have to admit that it's the Rockets that have the most drawing power in China.

I will bet you anything those people will be there hours before the arena opens up just because. and one way of being able to have more teams play over seas would be pre-season and the week before the all star break, have a few teams play over seas, gives them plenty of time to recover from the jet lag.... just an idea....

Quoting l2emix:

Is everyone going to play in that game? Like full lineup
This is probably an exhibitdtion game, and probably some of the guys who usually don't get time on the court will play.i suppose we will see some starters play for a brief time, but that is a good question there. Anybody know who will actually play for sure?
Most likely, everybody will. This game will be a preseason event, and every player I know except Shaq plays in these games. So expect to see Yao, T-Mac, Bibby and Webber all in check.

tmac and yao will play for a few minutes at least yao will probably play quite a bit in that game... on the kings side, you should see minutes from all the starting 5, but I dont think they will be playing extended minutes.... I expect to see more from the rookies, bench and role players for most of the game. I am fully expecting the rockets to win this one, but its pre season..... as long as the kings use the time to get on track & evaluate their bench talent, Im good with that
