Hiram Bithorn Stadium San Juan Puerto Rico. Opened in 1962!! Last nights Game attendance 19000 +, for a ballpark with seating for 18000 maximum. Good thing MLB brought all the generators. Hard to believe they can broadcast the ball game with only generators and not a power grid... Other highlights of Hiram Bithorn Stdm.- MLB Opening day 2001,- 4000 Fans turned away due to unsafe conditions Beyond Max Capacity. 2003 & 2004 Montreal Expos played 22 Home games at HB, San Juan PR, while greatly improving home Field attendance 4/t Expos... 2016 Marlins scheduled three-game set at HB PR, which were canceled due to zika virus outbreak!! Serious serious shit!! No way was MLB going to permanently move to a "shithole nation".... as if being hit by Irma and Maria was PR's fault. 5th largest Hurricane in US history; w/a 50-60 mile wide Tornado cutting the island in half. The hardest hitting Tropical hell to hit PR in 80 yrs. PR would be t/30th largest state by populace if not a commonwealth....
