Losing tonight was no shock, but it was the way they lost because of Nate's ... stubborness I guess? ... that grates (and my suspicion that he's going to be the coach for the next ten years doesn't help).
All we can do is hope and pray he figures it out come playoff time. He may be a slow learner due to his stubbornness but he's very smart.
on the bright side, those 8 1st round draft picks the Blazers would get for Wallace might garner them a decent European player that they can stash over there for 6 years.
See edited post. Many times learning something and putting it into action are mutually exclusive. Seems Nate has to learn his lesson over and over before he makes the necessary changes.
And that is supposed to cheer us up? The Clips may be the new hot thing on the block, but I will never, ever cheer for the Lakers against them or anybody!
FIFY That's all there is too it. You can't say "very smart" when a coach's decision making process is seemingly immune to change based on the unfolding events in a game. Coaches are as much tacticians as they are teachers; it's completely fundamental to the job description.
For a defensive minded coach, Nate's teams have been pick and rolled to death through the years. At first I thought it was the personnel, but Steve Blake, Andre Miller, Joel Pryzbilla, Brandon Roy, etc. aren't here anymore. Figure it out Nate! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting difficult results.
Thats right. Cleveland beat the Knicks. Also NJ won in Philly. Werent some in here claiming that Philly was good? Indy won in Chicago. That team is so last week. Milwaukee won in Houston. The formerly uber hot home team. Minny won in Dallas. Toronto won in Utah. Yeah for sure if you are a good team you never ever lose a game against a team you are predicted to beat. The Blazers are doomed after a crushing defeat to the Curries, er Warriors. A road game the 3rd in a b to b to b is always like 80% win rate, right? Somebody look up the stats and post them.
