I was at a shopping mall about 50 miles from home and there was a memorabilia store there that had this in the window. I didn't get the price.

They did have a bunch of autographed baseballs. Sandy Koufax was selling for $999.

That's nice. Keep this garbage off board. It is hockey board. We don't want this garbage here.

I don't think I'd ever buy something autographed. I might get something autographed for myself or for a gift.

The autograph industry is full of fakes and there are men out there selling graphs that are rude to athletes and celebrities and will go so far as to pay kids to run up and get items signed that they'll sell later.

I would imagine that Rangers fans have better memories of Moose than Gretz but that is a cool piece of history. A little like Wizards Jordan but he was at least putting up about a hundred points a season even then.

The stuff at this store all has certificates of authenticity with fake-proof seals and that sort of thing.

I have a few things given to me by guys who worked for Upper Deck and they came with the same certificates.

Anyhow, I could have sworn I attached that photo to the first post. I must have screwed up. I can see why it looks like a stupid thread...

I saw the NYR logo at the top and I thought of our friends who post here.
