DeAngelo plays with a big edge from scouting reports. Andersson plays with an edge. Crawley who they drafted plays with an edge. Smith who they brought in plays with an edge. That's the direction they need to go. They have been way too soft for years.

If av don't like it kick his ass out and put ruff in there. He's on thin ice at it is this season with his awful playoff decisions last year that cost us getting into the elc against a wounded pitt team

If they beat Pitt there was a great chance they would have beat Nashville.. instead pussies like Stepan and Krieder just didn't show up all playoffs

I wish we would do the full rebuild and not what looks like a half ass one. I'd like to see the kids play on D, really hope we don't tie us up on a long term deal with shatty and with a supposedly great draft coming next year start trading assets like nash, Zucc, Mc D etc for young players like a trouba and first round and addl draft picks for next year. And if this happens then the inevitable conversation with hank to have hime waive his ntc and go to a team with a stanley cup shot for a ton of assets back. If not, we are probably a team sneaking into a wc spot again if that next season with little shot at a cup.

Hank will retire a Ranger IMO. NO way you trade McDonagh. He's not the issue. Neither is Zucc. Hayes gets this year. If he doesn't pick it up another level. He's a guy that might be used to trade for a mid 1st pick. They are rebuilding quite a bit this and last year. Bringing in Zibanejad. Now DeAngelo. Adding Smith if they keep him. Skjei came up full time last year. This year probably Graves or the Russian kid. I think we see 2 more rookies on D this year. The team isn't old and isn't losing 40 games a season. No reason for a total rebuild all at once. They have already gotten rid of Girardi, Stepan, Brassard the past 3 years. Those were core players here for years.

Trouba hasn't been all that impressive for the amount of Rangers fans sucking him off.

I know, Trouba is all right, not a game breaker at all. What's the point of trading McD.. they'll still be down another 1st pair dman

Trouba's upside is nice but the facts are that Skjei was considerably better than him last year. Rangers get caught up in the righty crap because AV is a thickhead moron with it. The Pens won a cup this year with a bunch of rejects on defense. The way the Rangers bent the Pens over twice in the playoffs was they had speedy, relentless forwards who never gave their best players room to breathe. The past few years the fat, lazy forwards got paid and don't play hard. Stepan was a perfect example. Kreider is becoming another lazy fuck.
