<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Sebastian Telfair has staged the kind of disappearing act no NBA player wants. Despite injuries, the point guard has seen his playing time precipitously decline, dropping to seven minutes against Washington Saturday and four minutes against San Antonio Monday. He played 12 minutes last night, scoring 5 points.

"Really, Rajon [Rondo] right now and Delonte [West] are just playing better and Bassie has to play better," said Rivers. "He has to be a better defender, a more reliable defender. I'm not down on him, except for I'm more up on the other two guys right now."

Telfair said no one on the coaching staff has communicated precisely what he must do better, though he quickly added that with his experience he should know what to do. "This is my third year in the league," said Telfair. "I pretty much know what I'm supposed to be doing. I was in a slump and I felt like I was working my way out of that slump, getting my shot back. But it is what it is. I'm just going to work hard in practice and show them I'm ready to play.

"I didn't think I'd be on the bench for this long, but I am still. Pretty soon I'll get together and have a conversation [with the coaches]. I talk to everybody [who's close to me] and everybody pretty much says the same thing. I just have to work myself out of it. There isn't anything else I can do. I can't talk myself out of it. I can't pray myself out of it. I've just got to go out there and work."</div>
