Today I picked up cbssportline.com NBA preview magazine. I think its the most comprehensive season preview mag on the market. I flipped to the raptors and was quite disgusted. This mag has the raps finishing with only 22 wins....only ahead of the lowly blazers with 20. Thats 7 fewer wins then last year! Now...i'm a realist, i don't think the raps are gonna make the playoffs, but 2nd worst in the league? I see it shapin down like this- 1.Miami 2.Chicago 3.New Jersey 4.Cleveland 5.Detroit 6.Milwaukee 7.Washington 8.Orlando And i personally think that the raps will finish with 30-35 wins. any thoughts?
I see the raptors at 40 wins honestly, no more no less. I don't even think it's possible to only win 22 games with the talent we have...and not bad talent like Knick "talent" where you have a bunch of bad rep, bloated contract stars trying to "share" the ball. We'll just wait and see when that time of year comes around
That's crazy. How can we get worse when our roster has improved. We finaly have a pass-first PG who doesnt take away from Bosh. We have Peterson in his contract year so he'll probably play his best this season. We've added more depth in the form of an MVP europe player and a dunk competition winner who will thrive in our style of play. Not to mention getting rid of Araujo and getting a decent center. There are way more teams in the league that will do worse than us; Blazers, Knicks, Hawks and possibly the Bobcats.
It's another unresearched reaction to the amount unknown European players on this team. If we had drafted a less promising, but more widely known college player and overpaid for players like Bonzi Wells, Joel Pryzbilla, and Mike James, I have no doubt they'd put us as a fringe playoff team. These season preview articles can't tell us much, because there's only a handful of people out there that actually know the players and system that Colengelo's bringing in.

That's why I'm so excited to see the Raptors play. I want to see them prove these biased critics wrong. Colangelo isn't trying to make an all-star team that's stacked, he's trying to make a team that will play well together and execute a fast break offense.
Aim low, so when you actually do screw up, you can be like "yea i told you so", and when u succeed you can be like "SA-WEET YO!!!"
^^ Haha yeah thats what I do on tests. When I get them back I always expect to get like 50 then if I get like 70 I'm super happy. But still 22 wins is TOO low.
No way I think 30 wins at the least and 40 at the most Raptors wont finish bottom GO Raptors HEY Did anyone watch Bargani in the Summer league he looked alright, nice jumpshot and footwork.
