UConn is struggling once again and is down 33-23 to LSU with a little over 3 minutes remaning in the 1st half. Darrel Mitchell(12 points) and Tyrus Thomas(10 points) has provided LSU with most of it's offense thus far. Rudy Gay is off to a bad start for the Huskies by going 3-10 from the field for 9 points. Don't know what is wrong with UConn, but someone is going to have to step up on the offensive end...because Rudy Gay sure the heck ain't...
In my opinion, nothing has to be wrong with UConn for them to lose this game. LSU is a talented team.
So much for the return of Marcus Williams hype. LSU is blowing their early 1st half lead, they need to make a run here!
Well, UConn pulled it out 67-66. I'm surprised to see them playing tihs poorly after getting one of the best PG's in the nation back in Williams. But maybe it will just take them some to adjust to getting a new guy in the starting lineup...
Damn LSU choked in this game they should have won this game. Chalk up to inexperience, but I think LSU made a statement in the game nonetheless.

They really need to find someone to get them started on the offensive end because Rudy Gay has showed me nothing so far.

All their losses this season have come in the final minutes: Houston, Northern Iowa, Cincinnati, Ohio State, and now Connecticut. They could be undefeated if they were just better at closing games out. I have to agree with C.K. about Rudy Gay. He's been impressive, but how is this kid considered a potential #1 pick? Not only has he disappeared in most of the big games I've seen him in this season (Arizona, Gonzaga, Marquette), but even when he had a career night against Arkansas, his ball handling was atrocious. I'd probably take a chance on Gay and his athleticism somewhere in the #5-10 range, but he's nowhere near the prospect that LaMarcus Aldridge is. However, he's not as overrated as his teammate Josh Boone. I understand that Boone is a decent defender, but why the hell would anyone project him as a lottery pick? The kid has no offensive game whatsoever. Just look at his line from last night: 38 minutes, 2-8 FG, 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 4 fouls. The saddest thing about that line is that he has games like that all the time.
