Don't look now, but after a miserable start, the Lakers are now 2 games over .500 and currently in sole possession of 8th seed.

    Bah

    They're going nowhere this season.

So they get to make the playoffs and lose in the 1st round. Good for them.

They don't get to keep their pick, and have an aging Gasol still on their salary cap for another year AND it's still no definite that Howard will return.

and because of all that (and Kobe's insane salary) they won't have any money to offer any decent free agents.

We have to catch them. We only have one more loss and they have to come to the Rose Garden on 4/10

Seriously, isn't it bullshit that the Lakers do this every fucking time. They start the season off like shit, and you think this is the year that they are finally going to come back to middling status like they have deserved to be for decades, let other teams bask in the spotlight for a chance, but no, they throw some fucking mythical "switch" and decide that, oh yeah, WE ARE THE FUCKING LAKERS AND YOU NEED TO BOW DOWN TO US! Piss on that and them. How I long for the days of Elden Campbell and Sedale Threatt when they fucking SUCKED. Now that Dr. Buss is six feet under, hopefully his worthless kids can run the franchise into the ground where it belongs.

Shit, hate for the Lakers aside, I bet OKC or the Spurs would rather play teams like Golden State, Houston or Denver before the play the Lakers in the first round.

That doesn't mean much though. Just means they don't know. Definitely miss one game; but not anything guaranteed.

I still don't wish that ankle injury on LA, that looked terrible.

Yeah the Lakers get too much airtime though.

I could easily seeing this helping the Lakers. Nash running the show is better that Kobe running it.

he might run the team better, but when that team is an aging insane MWP, Dwight Howard and 11 other crappy players, it's less Hollywood and more Bollywood.
