<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>Yahoo! Ludden says that Dallas shouldn’t be surprised it’s not beating playoff contenders. Kidd needs more time to adapt to his new teammates … and new coach. He also reports Mark Cuban and Avery Johnson both wanted to trade Harris for Kidd.</div> Dallas 0-7 against winning teams since trade - Johnny Ludden - Yahoo! Sports Well, this turned out to be a steal for us and big f*** up for Dallas (at the moment). Who woulda thunk it.
Dallas isn't really the type of team that kid thrives on. Besides maybe Josh Howard, there isn't really any superior athletes on that team. Kidd would have been better with a team like Denver or Atlanta.
The quote by Kidd was very telling: <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Kidd also has had to get acclimated to Johnson directing the offense from the sideline. “I try to execute what he calls, but my instinct is to try to get an easy basket,” Kidd said. “It’s just getting comfortable with these guys and understanding how easy the game can be if we can get out and run and get easy baskets.”</div> What kind of coach tries to "control" a HOF PG like Kidd, especially one who thrives on the fast break and adapting to what the defense gives him? I think Avery will be gone in the summer. Too bad they still don't have Nellie.
You think Avery will be gone over the summer all because of Jason Kidd? ..ya right. He's done a great job in Dallas, he just has a soft team, led by a soft superstar. Kidd was supposed to provide that winning leadership, but it doesn't really look like hes done that. I think Jason Kidd got traded to a good team, but not a team that fits his style well. Thats why its a little hard for me trying to picture Kidd winning a championship in Dallas.
