Sluggish Start

We never got into a rhythm in the first half. I’m not really sure why. We play a lot better and play more free when we’re moving the ball and hitting the open man instead of trying to force stuff. For some reason, we were trying to force stuff and that’s never good.

Even Kob was saying he didn’t read the Magic’s defense as well even though he finished with 29 points.

Credit Orlando for a great inbounds play at the end of regulation with 0.6 seconds remaining and the score tied, 88-88. Hedo Turkoglu threw a perfect pass to Courtney Lee, who made a nice cut to the basket. We all sort of held our breath when he caught the ball and then watched as he shot it a little too hard off the backboard. Whew.

The Magic have some great shooters and we knew they weren’t going to be held down in back-to-back games. Rashard Lewis went off for 34 and Hedo had a bounceback game with 22.

This game won’t get a lot of style points if you know what I mean but we’ll take it any way, pretty or not, especially since it brings us closer to our goal of winning the NBA title.
