"It's almost Halloween and Roberto Luongo made a visit to his personal House of Horrors on Tuesday night. It's called the Xcel Energy Center and it just seems to scare the life out of Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks, who fell 6-2 to the Minnesota Wild. Luongo had a particularly tough night, which shouldn't come as a huge surprise. He entered the game with a 3-8-2 record, 3.26 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage at the Xcel Energy Center. Those numbers will look even worse after Tuesday night's abysmal performance, when he allowed six goals on 18 shots in two periods of work. Cory Schneider cleaned up in the third period. "It was a tough one, not a very good game obviously for myself," Luongo said. "I don't know what it is about this rink, but obviously I haven't had great performances here. It is one of those things where we have to battle through it." The question now is, who starts tonight's game in Chicago, where the Canucks finish a quick two-game road trip against the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks? "Right now I just want to get back to where I was last week, whether that's working hard in practice or playing games, we'll figure that out," said Luongo, who has allowed 10 goals in his last two starts. "I'll be ready if I am called upon tomorrow, but if not I will be working hard for the next one." Coach Alain Vigneault wasn't hanging the loss totally on Luongo, suggesting he had plenty of company. "He was like the rest of our team," Vigneault said. "Obviously, everybody in that room starting with me could do a better job. The positive thing is we're right back at it tomorrow, we are playing against a team that we know real well and I expect we'll bounce back." Vigneault would not name his starting goalie for tonight's game. "I want to watch the game, I haven't seen anything except from behind the bench. I am going to watch the game and let the people know tomorrow." The loss was Vancouver's third on the road in as many games this season. Improving their road record was high on Vancouver's wish list this season. The Canucks were the only Western Conference playoff team last season that was below .500 (19-20-2) on the road. The Canucks have been outscored 10-3 in their last two road games."\ http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/...scores goals shots periods/3696868/story.html
