The funny thing is he also has the 5th worst 2-point % for players who have at least 20 field goals on the season at only 34.4%.
Yeah ^ thats messed up. How can you shoot better from longer range than short range, but anyways, I am lovin' Luther and I hope he goes to the foot-locker three point shootout.
^ Which one would you rather see in the 3pt contest, Luther or Novak? Who do you think will do better, Luther or Novak?
^ Good question, but seeing that Head already has made 46 three pointers shooting 50.5 percent, I would choose Head, he already proved he can be consistent with the 3-point jumper, so Head is the answer. If I could choose both, then that would be the option, because we all know, Novak can light it up from downtown.
I'd rather have Novak in the three-point shootout just because he can drain it all the time when he's wide open. Luther Head is a player who would shoot better in someone's face. Anyways, Bruce bowen shot a higher percentage from 3pt land than his FT percentage at one time, isn't that rite

Then again, I havent seen him take that many opportunities.
Luther jumps forward about 3 feet whenever he takes a 3-pointer. His form simply won't work well in a 3-point shooting contest.

I usuallly only watch the Rook ASG, 3pt contest, ASG, and dunk contest. ASG- TMac & Yao Rookie/sophomore ASG- Head and possibly Hayes 3pt- Head and possibly Novak dunk contest is fun to watch with or without Rockets players.
Well guys, I hate to pop the bubble here but I won't expect Head to keep up his play for the whole season. He had a strong start last year too but trailed off significantly percentage-wise in the second half of the season. Very erratic last year and has gotten better now, but you still can't count on him to give you 50% threes every night. Sometimes he'll go 1 for 6, then 3 for 4, then 0 for 3.

Head isn't very good at creating off the dribble and panics when a 2nd defender closes off his dribbling lane. He just needs to spend more time improving his footwork and learning to remain under control after he picks up his dribble. I've noticed considerable improvement in his shooting mechanics since college.
