Lyoto Machida would like to fight Rashad Evans for top contender spot

    His fight against Thiago Silva at UFC 89 called off, Lyoto Machida has been forced to the sidelines. Rashad Evans' surprise knockout of Chuck Liddell has put him into the limelight and, according to Dana White, has earned him a shot at Forrest Griffin's light heavyweight title. Machida, undefeated, wants a crack at Evans first.

    I would like to see it happen but it would never happen. Lyoto beating Rashard Evans wouldn't boost his popularity by that much. UFC will definately be capitalizing on Rashards new found popularity.
