Tommy Beer: Stephen A, on ESPN radio, says Glen Grunwald wanted to trade for Lamarcus Aldridge, but had Andrea Bargnani (a CAA client) "forced upon him" Twitter @TommyBeer - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.zjtdfOzN.dpuf

What exactly did the Knicks have to trade that would have allowed that to happen? Melo?

I'm happy he finally gets crowd love. I remember reading after the crowd was chanting Gerald Wallace that Aldridge was kind of hurt no one chanted for him like that, he's been a work horse and a saviour from the Roy/oden Era. He deserves it all and now he's commanding it with greatness in his play.

It's even greater that he takes it with a humble heart and continues to play team ball. His jersey will no doubt hang in the rafters in the future.

He's never had the fan love like Roy, Wallace, Grant, and even Lillard. Always boggled my mine why his name was never chanted.

He maybe the only current player (last 20 years) that will be the first to have their number retired

I'm guess that with all the media coverage on this that the "MVP" chant will be recurring in the Rose Garden.

LMA was a KIA MVP of the month nominee, and has a cool video on NBA.com highlighting his Oct/Nov performance.

Aldridge led the Blazers in points, rebound, steals, and blocks.

LA moved to 6th on the Ladder, ahead of Love.

Out of camby, gw, and przybilla, Joel was the only one who really deserved the chants. And Aldridge has deserved it for years.

Not only is lamonsters humility most impressive but lillard has no problem sharing the spot light. I really like how this team has come together and focused on basketball rather than ego.

I also thought it was weird that there has not been a Lamarcus Aldridge chant when both Wallace and Camby got one.

Maybe because those chants came in appreciation for all out effort. I like "MVP" because it more recognizes what LA is to this team . . . but he deserve a name chant and hopes that happens.

MVP's one of those weird awards where I feel like once the ball gets rolling in the media, it's tough to stop. It starts with that chant, then they talk about the chant, then someone says hey, you know, he should be in the conversation, then it gets talked about more...etc.

His name doesn't lend itself to a good chant. I'll stick with MVP. ;)

    It actually does work.

    La-Marcus Al-dridge. *clap clap clap-clap-clap*

Say it out loud. It works.
