I'm a big Maciej Lampe fan because he is polish as I am. But I'm just wondering what to u Hornets fans think of him. I feel that he has a lot of skills and if he got a chance to really play he would be able to showcase those skills. If he was able to play, a "Paul to Lampe" would be able to rival a "Stockton to Malone" But i really wanna hear what you guys think.
You can not even use the names Malone and Lampe in the same sentence in my humble opinion. He has been on three NBA teams so far, and not been able to get minutes on any of them at some point you have to wonder is it the team system that is not allowing him to succeed or the players lack of motivation and skill? I personally believe he was a player that was over hyped during the draft, and never really had the motivation to challenge himself to get better. He has tools to be a good player, but does not try to improve himself at all. You can look at his body and see it has not changed physically from the moment he came into the league until now. He also looks lost when on the court with the rest of his teammates it may just be me, but that?s how it seems. As a 6-11 player he has not shot well the past two seasons when he has gotten playing time he has shot under 40% the last two seasons. However, he was the youngest player ever to appear in a regular season game for the Phoenix Suns. He still has plenty of time to mature. He has not gotten a real chance to learn a system under one coach for a while this will be his first full season under Byron Scott and if anyone can bring out his potential it is Scott.
Im not at all sayin that he is malone or will be i was just tryin to add a little more to the disscussion.
