Nathan MacKinnon bounced up from a big check to score a nifty goal. That helped the Colorado Avalanche bounce back from the blow of losing their captain. MacKinnon had a goal and two assists, Philipp Grubauer stopped 18 shots for his second shutout of the season and the playoff-chasing Avalanche beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-0 on Saturday.
