I wasn't too excited about this movie coming up on its release thinking it was just going to be another failed attempt to recapture the magic from a classic franchise.... Well so far to my surprise it is getting amazing reviews.. 100% fresh with a average of 9.2/10 scores... out of 32 reviews so far.. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mad_max_fury_road/ I am officially on the hype train, going to see it this weekend!
Let me know what you think. I agree I wasn't too into it, but it has definitely been on my radar. OT: Tomorrowland looks very interesting to me, that will probably be the next one I see in theaters.
Another summer of franchises, remakes, reboots, and sequels. MMFR is the only one I want to see and even then I kind of feel guilty about it.
I heard that after the studio saw the early footage of the film, they decided to raise the budget a bunch and push the production over the top. Looks great, can't wait!
It was a rush.... I probably could have live tweeted, so many people were on there damn phones. My biggest surprise is how much my wife actually enjoyed it, lol.
That is a really frustrating part of the movie experience for me. Something that seems to be getting worse and worse as cell phones become a bigger part of peoples lives.
Do yourself a favor and import the region free blu rays from Amazon UK. I got them from there and they're really great 80s cult movies. I got the set when they were like 8 pounds/15 bucks.
Just got back from seeing it. Really good movie. Amazing stunts. The only problem was Max didn't seem that Mad. He was crazy, determined, brave, but not mad.
It was terrible. Beautiful to look at and the vehicles were insane. Still terrible. I'm thinking one armed Charlize Theron would be hot until her early 60s at least. So there's that.
I that it was awesome! Totally bat-shit silly and no basis in reality in any way, but that's what it's supposed to be. An over the top future action thriller wilh balls.
