According to reports from the Spanish press reigning champions Real Madrid are after Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres, who plays for Recreativo de Huelva.

On Sunday the player put on a very good performance against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu, and now the Spanish giants want him on their side.

Caceres (19) was loaned out to Recreativo Huelva from Villarreal this season, after signing for the club from Uruguay’s Defensor Sporting in February.

The Uruguayan has already been linked to a number of top European clubs, despite the fact that he is a relatively newcomer to European football.

He was very firm in defense against Madrid on Sunday, and almost got on the score sheet, when he had a good header well saved by Iker Casillas.

At the moment Caceres finds himself in Uruguay with his national team, as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Paraguay.
