<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">ORLANDO, FLA. ? Clippers forward Corey Maggette had the cast removed from his left foot Tuesday and had a weight-bearing X-ray taken that showed considerable healing. Maggette began an aquatic therapy and rehabilitation program and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. No basketball activities are planned until then. "It's great to hear the progress he has made," said Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy, who was preparing for today's game against the Orlando Magic. "We just want to make sure everything is done the right way to ensure his long-term health." Maggette has missed the past 25 games. He was injured Dec.5 in the Clippers' victory over the Miami Heat at Staples Center when he landed on teammate Chris Wilcox's foot. Initially it was thought Maggette had a mild sprain, but tests revealed he suffered a separation of the ligament from the bone in his mid-foot region. The injury is common among football players. "We are optimistic about Corey's status," Clippers team physician Tony Daly said. Maggette has played in 13 games and averaged 21.7 points and 5.5 rebounds. He averaged 22.2 points, six rebounds and 3.4 assists in 66 games last season.</div> Source
This is good news, the team has picked it up lately, and Brand has been a beast, but getting Corey back will definately help.
