Keys To The Game <u>Cavaliers</u> Tras/double McGrady every time he touches the ball, make him pass it Get Ilgauskas involved early and POUND them inside Box out, play some zone, get aggressive on Orlando Attack the basket, make freethrows, don't turn the ball over <u>Magic</u> Run the floor on both ends Isolate McGrady and let him attack the basket Keep a body on Carlos Boozer, keep him off the glass Get the shooters involved Did I mention something about giving the ball to T-Mac? The King's Take Cavs are 11-9 at home while the Magic are 6-18 on the road, so I feel good about this one only if Jeff McInnis continues to push the basketball like he did against the 76ers. The Magic defense is terrible, so we must be aggressive and take advantage of that. The Cavs are the best rebounding team in the league and since the Boston trade our defense has got better and better. I expect a close one, McGrady will have to be lights out for a win, but playing Overson the game before will have the Cavs primed and ready for a one man show. Cavs by 5 Please Jeff, do your thang! <font size="1">Please visit NBA.com</font>
Tough one to pick, this. The Magic, despite their record, haven't been playing bad ball of late. The Cavs are gutsy though, and I'll give them the homecourt advantage. If LeBron pulls up, Cavs by 11. Without, Cavs by 4.
I like both teams alot, moreso of the players of the Cavaliers. I want them to win, although it would be nice if the Magic can pull up another one sometime soon. Preferably this one not being it. Hard to say who has the advantage, I think Cavaliers have superior size, strength and speed and so will take this one, with some trouble of course. Cavaliers by 7.
Im still feeling real good about our Cavs yet again tonight. Wagner puts up double figures, a double double from Carlos, and Z leading the way in scoring. Cavs will take this by 6 in a 4th quarter free throw shootout.
hmm i dunno if u wanted to say 6th man keymatch up..but our best 6th man is Drew Gooden he leads the NBA in rebounds for a 6th man..oh and T-Mac had 41 pts in X-mas Day anyways , for what I heard Lebron wont be playing tonight I really wanted to see tmac and him going at it...oh well .. anyways I think the only weapon the cavs have left is boozer..and will not be match for T-Mac and another Magic player..Magic by 7.
I can see redscoon right now... "The Cavs never pull through when we expect them to, Magic by 11" LMAO He is right though, the Cavs have been playing amazing, beating the Jazz in OT without Bron when we trailed by 20+, we swept Seattle, are 3-0 against Phili, and almost beat the Kings too. We should beat Orlando at our place, but this is why they play the games.

I say Cavs take this one and Wagner has a good game and LeBron won't miss a step, Cavs by 10
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Cavaliers rookie LeBron James, hobbled by an ankle sprain for almost two weeks, said he won't know until game time tonight whether he will play against the Orlando Magic. James has missed Cleveland's last three games since spraining his right ankle Jan. 17 against Utah. He seemed to have a full range of movement during a shoot-around Monday morning and said he'll shoot around before tonight's game at Gund Arena. If the ankle feels fine, James said, he'll play. Cavs coach Paul Silas said James is a little afraid and erring on the side of caution because he's never dealt with an injury before. James had been limited to only shooting this past week, but was able to make it through a full practice Sunday, saying he was able to push off the ankle and cut on it. The Cavs on Sunday upgraded James from doubtful to probable on their injury report. "It's up to him if he feels he can go," Silas said. "I'd like to see him try, but I'm not going to rush it, naturally."</div> Full Story
Nice Preview KJ. I wanted LeBron to play tonight. I loved when he and T0Mac went against each other the first time. LeBron with his "skyrocket" reminded me of how I used to shot. He also gave McGrady some good competetion. I say Magic by 9 even though the Cavs been playing well since they've gotten rid of miles.
im gonna say cavs by 5 in ot, magic are getting back on track surely but slowly. T-Mac well have a hell of game against kedrick borwn, but Dwags will hold his own when hes matched up with him.I think if LeBron doesnt play the cavs will struggle till the forth if he does play then they'll have the lead the whole game through.
Magic up 62/59 at the half James has 14, 1, and 2 McInnis has 4, 1, and 6 Boozer has 11, 8, and 1 McGrady has 34 points on 8-9 shooting from 3, amazing Howard has 11 and 8 Exciting first half from what I can sewe from the highlights and the box score, but I am back now. On to the 2nd half. ---------- Magic up 79/73 after 3 McGrady has left the game with an ankle injury. He has 36, 1, and 2. Howard has 17, 10, and 5 James has 16, 3, and 3 Boozer has 16, 10, and 1 Z has 11, 11, and 3 Huge 4th quarter coming up. ---------- Cavs win 99/98 McGrady had a sprained tow in the 3rd quarter and did not return. The Magic also lost Drew Gooden to an injury after just 5 minutes of action. This game was high scoring in the first half, very hard hitting and aggressive in the 2nd. Great win!
Dajuan Wagner scored 21 points 3-3 from the arc and 8-17 overall. And who says juanny aint gonna be the player he was, man hes gonna be better. Shammond williams had a solid game 14 and 3 boards McGrady could have broke some records that game if he didnt get injured damn... He could have scored more thatn mjs 69 vs the cavs. Hey its always agianst the cavs good players score there career highs. DeSagana Diop had 2 and 2 blocks. The rest i dont know. Chek it heres the box score: http://www.nba.com/games/20040126/ORLCLE/boxscore.html
I was very suprised at this win. Not only did I want the Magic to win, but I was napping when a friend woke me up saying "hey, T-Mac is 8-8 from 3 on 10-15." I looked at everyone else's stats, and Juwan was doing a decent job and cleaning the boards. Oh well, good game.
With T-Mac, Drew, and Lue all coming out of the game, The Cavs took advantage of the situation after a terrible shooting effort in the 3rd quarter shooting below 40 percent from the field vs Orlando's 50 plus. D. Wag has definatly stepped up his game as of late during LeBrizzle's absence, including tonight. LeBron didn't do that bad coming from injury throwin up a 16 5 3 night. With all that in mind D Wagner coming off the bench is averaging 18.0 ppg within the last 4 games. Tonight his three point shooting got us back into the game and his offensive presents has been superior. Finishing with 21 points tonight, 1 board, 1 assist, perfect from deep 3-3 and perfect from the line 2-2. His is, your player of the game.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Rookie LeBron James scored 16 points in his first game back from a sprained ankle and Carlos Boozer had 23 points and 16 rebounds, leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 99-98 victory over the Orlando Magic on Monday night. Tracy McGrady tied an NBA record with eight 3-pointers in the first half, but Orlando's star guard played just five minutes after halftime because of a toe injury. Still, after Cleveland's Eric Williams missed two free throws with 7.5 seconds left, the Magic had a chance to win on their final possession. But Rod Strickland shot an airball on a runner in the lane just before the horn sounded. The Cavaliers, who went 2-1 while James was out with the injury, have won four of five and now have 16 victories -- just one less than they had all last season. James added five rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes, but sat the final 4:51 after forcing a couple shots. He didn't decide to play until after the pregame shootaround. Dajuan Wagner scored a season-high 21 points and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Cavs, who had a season-low three turnovers.</div> Full Story Box Score
Boozer is a monster My first praise thread could be heading in the direction of Carlos Boozer. What a talent.
Boozer has been amazing, he just keeps getting more and more confident out there. No doubt to me can he be a 20/10 player within the next few seasons.
