Payton doesn't seem right for Orlando. They're not going to win a championship anytime soon so why would he want to come here?
Payton is great but he's not what he used to be, and from what i think/know he wouldnt be coming here for the championship chase maybe it's because of the SHAQ, and T-Mac reunion thing.
He will likely already have a ring after this year. So he could leave to go to another team to help them out.
