Some fans were a little quick to jump on things.. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting :</div><div class="quote_post">"Being booed at home makes me sick to my freaking stomach," the Magic's Tracy McGrady said. "... This is ridiculous. I didn't appreciate it. They expect us to be perfect guys. We can have bad nights. We're human." "I wish I had the answer, but there's no reason to push the panic button," Howard said. McGrady now might have upset the people he needs most, considering no one knows where his team's offensive malaise will stop. He already had motivated the Knicks earlier Monday by saying they tend to fold under pressure -- like they did in the Magic's lone victory in New York.</div> http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/bask...?coll=orl-magic The Knicks wanted that game more. Tmac's mouth was their motivation.
Not really. The Knicks were trying to give the Magic the game. The Magic just suck, that's what it is.
Also, if I was at the game, I would of booed too. 0-3 at home is horrible. I was thinking about going to the game on Friday against the Twolves, but I don't want to waste my money.
The Magic aren't playing well but I would never boo them. Its early in the season and they are playing bad. Things will get better. Tmac wont be shooting 30% the entire season. "We weren't going to let Orlando steal another one," Knicks forward Kurt Thomas said, "especially after Tracy making his little comments." Sometimes Tmac should just be quiet. The Magic lost this one for themselves, but im sure the Knicks were still pissed off from what he said.
This isn't the first time Mcgrady has opened his big mouth and cost his team is it? Also moaning at the fans for booing is not wise either..Don't turn on the people who you need most in games....Sometimes I wonder if T-mac actually uses that brain of his before he speaks. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">I was thinking about going to the game on Friday against the Twolves, but I don't want to waste my money.</div> The saying that comes to mind here is "only sing when you are winning" You should support your team no matter what. All I can say is consider yourself luck you aren't a Clippers fan...

The fans shouldnt have booed their home team but tmac shouldnt have bitched about it either. I would go to Magic games if they were as good as the Cavs last season. Its called team support.
you owe it to the fans to give your best night in and night out...if you can't do it...the best you can do is not get "sick to your freaking stomach" for being booed...shut up and play...you owe it to the fans...
I don't blame the fans for booing. The Magic were awful last night (not that the Knicks weren't) but shooting 25% from the field ain't gonna win a whole lotta games. The Magic have a team IMO that could be Top 5 in the east with all the talent they have. But playing like that will get them a tee time right after the Knicks come April.

You have to stand by them no matter what. They can still be a top 5 team in the east. Its too early to jump on their case and say they wont make the playoffs, wont win more than 30 games, etc.. Patience is a virtue, wait a few more weeks before you say they will fail.
I think I'm gonna go to the game on Wednesday against the Grizzlies instead. I'm not a fair weathered fan, allnet. I see where you thought I was after that comment. I was just pissed at how bad they played and was like tmac and just blurted out without thinking. The Magic just need to get on the same page, and they desperately need a home win. The Bulls should be a win, but I thought the Knicks would be a win. The key is putting the ball in the bucket at a good percentage.
im not justifying the boos of the fans...what pisses me off is TMac's comments after they were booed...i mean...people pay to see you play...why don't you just shut up and do better the next game and earn the trust of the fans again...if this keeps up, he'll be one of those players everyone loves to hate
"I'm the first to admit, last night was ugly," he said. "I've never been so frustrated, so ticked off with everything. I love our fans, but in the heat of the moment, I just was upset. When I look at it today, I would have booed us, too, the way we played and shot." -Tracy McGrady
Booing is part of sports. Whether you're booing your team, the opposing team or a player. I've always thought that if you sit back and don't let your team have it you aren't a good fan. Just a little personal philosophy. Never cheering and just booing is another thing.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting jump:</div><div class="quote_post">I think that the fans should be showing support to the team. booing might only make things worse</div>Being a Knicks and Rangers (NHL) fan booing makes us feel better. We buy the tickets to go to the game. If our team sucks we should boo them (especially if they have lousy GM's and a crap owner). I think of it as giving the team encouragement in a way. If I was getting booed it would make me play x10 harder when I'm out there. If you can't handle it get off the court.
