Besides the fact that Johnson still is a Lakers' vice president, Johnson said one obstacle was that the Knicks "wanted a decision quick." "You're definitely interested," Johnson said, after teaming with Lakers guard Derek Fisher and WNBA star Lisa Leslie to win the Shooting Stars competition on Saturday night as part of All-Star Weekend. "I mean, that's the New York Knicks. "But, I think it was the right situation for Isiah. The right person is in the job."</div> More here.
Magic has always expressed interest in becoming a GM...There was a rumor a couple of years ago that said that Magic was persuing the GM job in Seattle... This man is very ambitious....The thing is that he wants run for mayor in Los Angeles..well, he can't be a GM and a mayor....or can he??....
You guys should be gald Magic didn't get the job, Isiah has been unreal for you guys. He's already done so much it's amazing, who would have known you could change half the team from during-the-season trades and make you one of the best teams in the east? Simply amazing. Ofcourse, the Knicks will probably be paying over 150mil after luxury tax next season...
